I am who I am in large part because of the opportunity this scholarship gave me, and it’s the greatest gift and honor to be apart of such an excellent group of people who have been given the same opportunity.

This program has taught myself, among others, how truly important it is to appreciate and give back to others, and that is something I will take with me everywhere. I am beyond grateful to have had the chance to grow up with and share experiences with my peers.

I can’t adequately express how grateful I am to those of you in the Dineen foundation who have stuck by me and seen in me what I wasn’t able to see in myself. You have been the strength in my journey that won’t just carry to graduation, but for the rest of my life. You have made it possible for me to come this far, and I cannot thank you enough.

This past year has been just another reminder of how lucky I was to be given this scholarship. This scholarship has allowed me to keep doing things I love to participate in at shrine and for this I am extremely grateful.

This scholarship has meant so much to my family and I. You all have made my dreams of attending Shrine High School come true. I have obtained so many qualities that have prepared me for college. Thank you all again, you have blessed my family and I and we could not be more grateful.

Shrine is truly awesome, and I am lucky enough to attend this special place. I have made many lifelong friendships with the students, but I have also been able to build relationships with my teachers and coaches.  Shrine has transformed me into the man that I am today.

Entering a new school, I was frightened, anxious, and fearful for what my life would be like.  The teachers around me at Shrine have been nothing but supportive and caring, seeing as they are here to help me achieve my goal at graduating and getting a new start in college.

Throughout my years at Shrine, I have achieved many of my goals, experienced God through those around me, and I have encountered a community that has become a second family to me. I will always hold Shrine in my heart no matter where life takes me. I will always be a Shrine Knight.  Thank you so much.

These past four years have been filled with friends, happiness, and a whole lot of memories. Being able to go to a catholic school has been great. It has opened my eyes up and has allowed me to improve my faith that would otherwise not be as strong without the shrine catholic education.

Shrine is a place where you can succeed. If you every have a problem there are plenty of people that will rush to your side to help you. I know that I would have never found that at any other school.

It means so much to me that you have given me this opportunity to learn in a Catholic environment. I am taking Chinese for language and will be singing a song with top choir, The Goliards, at the fall concert. I am honored to be apart of this.

Through my past years spent at Shrine I have developed a deep appreciation for the education I receive. I value the gift of superb teachers and marvelous classes that challenge me and motivate me to reach my full potential.
